Something You Couture

Something You Couture was a high-end couture alterations and design studio specializing in wedding and special occasion gowns. Over two years, I grew with this studio from its early days in a basement workspace to a full-service, two-story design studio — and had a hand in telling that story every step of the way.

My primary focus was creating 3–5 pieces of curated content per week that did more than just showcase beautiful dresses, they told the stories of the clients wearing them and the care that went into every fitting. That story-first approach resonated.

My top-performing piece reached 15 million views. Multiple others crossed 1 million, and many consistently landed in the 200k+ range.

When I started, SYC had just under 1,000 Instagram followers. By the time I left, that number had grown to approximately 3,500, a following I built singlehandedly through consistent, intentional content. Beyond the numbers, social media became a genuine client acquisition channel, with new clients regularly coming in specifically because they’d found us online.

One of my most ambitious projects at SYC was producing a series of documentary-style advertisements for the studio’s YouTube channel and website. I self-taught Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to bring these to life

Beyond content, I was deeply embedded in the day-to-day of the studio. I attended and photographed fittings, organized all photo and video assets in Google Drive, managed front desk and email client communication, handled scheduling, and assisted with payments.
