One of three collegians selected from 137 active chapters nationwide, I spent a summer as a Collegiate Fundraising Intern for the Phi Mu Foundation, and left having spoken on stage in front of 800 people.
The role put me at the center of the Foundation’s relationship with its collegiate membership. I managed direct outreach and relationship-building with 40+ chapters, serving as their sole point of contact between their chapter and the national Foundation. I built social content designed to speak to both current collegians and alumni stakeholders, and executed strategic campaigns around the National Day of Giving, Founder’s Day, and Convention to drive awareness and donations.
At the bi-annual national convention, I worked alongside staff to orchestrate events for loyal donors and participated in a live panel on the importance of collegiate philanthropy. I also produced a social media training video, covering how to use social to promote philanthropic causes and fundraisers, that was distributed to all 137 active chapters and was required viewing for every Philanthropy Chair nationally.
